Spending Time with God

By Apostle Tonya

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. Malachi 4:2

Father of Glory, we bless Your Holy Name. Great are You Lord and greatly to be praised; Your greatness is unsearchable. Father, we come boldly before Your throne of grace that we might obtain Your mercy and find grace. We pray that You would be merciful unto us O Lord and remember our afflictions.

Father, we put You in remembrance of Your Word according to Isaiah 43:26 and as it is written in the Book of Malachi, Chapter 4:2, we declare we fear Your Holy Name. O God, we thank You for Your Son, Jesus for You so loved the world, that You gave Your only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Father God, we declare You are nigh unto all that call upon You, to all that call upon You in truth. We declare that Jesus is our Healer and by His stripes we are healed of our infirmities and wounds. We summon Your power O God and declare the Lord Jesus, Sun of Righteousness shall visit us with healing in His wings. Lord, we thank You and praise You for our healing and restoration. In Jesus Name, Amen.

My New Ministry

By Apostle Tonya

And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.  John 20:26

I know that many of you that I have known over the years have been waiting for me to express my heart about the Lord using me in His ancient glory of levitating.  This manifestation of His glory, the Father released in the late 1500’s and early 1600’s when He used St. Teresa of Avila and St. Joseph of Cupertino.  It is the mantle of St. Teresa of Avila that I have been graciously given from our Father.

Despite years of the Lord revealing His will to use me in this way; it has been quite difficult adjusting to the changes in my life.  For a time, I have had to stay hidden as there were many assignments against me and my legs that had to be overcome.

The Lord is ever-faithful, my legs require special care from thy Lord which I receive from the Blessed Holy Spirit daily in order to be used by Him.  He is continuing to grace me with patience and acceptance for levitating.  I must say, it has not been an easy adjustment for me.

For months, I have been preparing for the Lord’s timing to release a video.  The video will be released by the ministry soon.

I want to thank each of you who have prayed for me and the ministry.  For my sisters-in-the Lord who were there for me during my season of waiting; I am honored and grateful for your intercession and love.

Family, it is my heart that the Lord is glorified as the videos are shared.  Be thou exalted O Lord!

The Love and Sacrifice of a Mother

By Apostle Tonya

Quite a few years ago, while pastoring a church in my native, Brooklyn I was led by the Holy Spirit to ask my late armor-bearer and cousin, Evangelist Rose to preach her first sermon on Mother’s Day.  My dearest cousin who was like a sister to me immediately began to faithfully prepare in prayer for her assignment.  On Mother’s Day morning, Evangelist Rose stood on the pulpit with grace to teach.  Rose taught the congregation about a mother’s love and sacrifice.   I remember her standing with confidence as she preached on King Solomon who wisely judged between two women who both claimed to be the mother of a son.  As you remember, this most profound passage demonstrating the love of a mother is written in the First Book of Kings, chapter three, verses 16 through 28.

It would be her last sermon.

The Blessed Holy Spirit is faithful to use women to birth His will with the miracle of childbirth as He did so through our Lord’s mother Mary, Hannah (the prophet Samuel’s mother), Jochebed (the mother of Moses) and many of our foremothers in the Bible.

It is written in the Book of Isaiah 66:28:

“Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.”

In the past two years, during fellowship with our Lord Jesus; He has spoken to me about my late mother’s intercession in her earthly life for her family.  Our Risen Lord has also appeared to reveal to me the power of her prayers.  One most glorious time while interceding with a sister-in-the-Lord, Jesus appeared in an open vision embracing my mother who was praying.  A few years later, thy Lord revealed to me it was my mother’s sweet-aroma of prayers that birthed me into a new beginning of ministry.

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.  Psalm 141:2

Women of God, may thy Lord continue to grace you with His strength to birth His new breed of apostles, prophets and leaders.  Amen.

Who can find a virtuous woman?  For her price is far above rubies.  Proverbs 31:10

Monday Morning Devotional

By Apostle Tonya

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves:  for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief:  for that is unprofitable for you. Hebrews 13:17

Dear Gracious Father, how great art thou magnificent God!  O Father, thank You for Your Plans to give Your Children an expected glorious end.  Thank You for being our Lord and Shepherd and we shall not want.  We ask You O Lord to incline thine Ear unto our heart tears.  Release O Lord Your faithful pastors to watch for the souls as it is written in the Book of Hebrews, Chapter 13 verse 17.

Almighty God, we declare together that those that be planted in Your House shall flourish in Your Courts and the gates of hell shall not prevail against us.  In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Committing Scripture to Memory

By Apostle Tonya

Oh how love I thy law!  It is my meditation all the day.  Psalm 119:97

We must live a life of abiding where the Blessed Comforter remain in and upon us.  One profound passage that we should often meditate on is written in the Book of John, Chapter one, verses 32 and 33:

And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon Him.  And I knew Him not:  but He that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, the same is He which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

How do we live such lives where the Holy Spirit would choose to remain in and upon us as it is written in John 1:33?  First, we must faithfully take time to learn His Personality and be sensitive to Him.  It most pleases the Comforter when we remain yielded and create an atmosphere in our homes filled with worship unto thy Lord and our words are pleasant to our families.

During these times, when we are now spending more time at home I encourage you to draw nearer unto the Lord by increasing the daily reading and studying of the Bible.  The Holy Spirit is ever-faithful and will pour into you and strengthen your inner man as You seek Him. Family, also use this time of resting in the Lord to try a new method and read the Bible out loud. Ephesians 3:16

I most enjoy the passage in the Book of Acts, Chapter 8:26-39 of the Ethiopian, an eunuch sitting alone in his chariot reading the Word. We see Phillip first received his instructions from an Angel.  Thereafter, we continue to read how the Lord’s will for the eunuch manifested when the Holy Spirit directed Phillip to fellowship with the eunuch.  The Lord’s will for Phillip to teach the Word to the eunuch ended with the eunuch receiving salvation and being baptized.  Surely I believe it was his hunger that moved Heaven for him. How glorious!

The Lord is ever-faithful to fulfill the desires of our hearts.  Just as He answered the heart of the Ethiopian; He will answer our prayers for the salvation of our loved ones.

Now as you began to commit Scriptures to your memory, ofttimes, you may find the Lord is leading you quietly to certain verses that He desire you to memorize.  The Lord may also use a certain Book in the Bible to begin training you.  Ofttimes, you may find He will lead you to repeatedly read the same Book or Chapter out loud to train you to walk in your spiritual authority and dominion in the Kingdom of God.

Here are a few keys to Committing the Scriptures to Your Memory:

Write the Verse

Thy Word is a lamp upon my feet, and a light upon my path.  Psalm 119:105

One of the keys I have discovered useful is to record a verse using an index card, journal or notebook.  Using index cards to write verses that you are led to memorize will help you during your study.  Ofttimes, I use colorful ink pens to circle a certain word the Holy Spirit has given understanding on.

Be sure to make use of the back of the index card to record any revelation you may receive from the Holy Spirit.

Soaking in His Presence

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  Psalm 1:2

Before you begin any study time with the Lord make sure you guard your place of abiding.  Bind distractions and loose focus.  Take delight in the Lord by soaking in His glorious Presence before you begin reading, studying and meditating on His Word.

Practice

Another key that is most helpful in committing the Scriptures to your memory is saying the verses to your friends or family throughout the day.  You will also find each time you write or read the verses; the Holy Spirit will be faithful to give you deeper understanding and revelation.

Sing it!

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.  Ephesians 5:19

As a young girl, I was taught to sing the verses from the Book of Psalms.  It is still the most powerful key in creating an atmosphere of Heaven.  I am sure you will find this method of memorization of Scriptures to be most rewarding.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.  Amen.

Celebrating Our Savior

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.  And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.  His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:  And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.  And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.  He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.  And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.  And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.  And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped Him.  Matthew 28:1-9

9 Bible Verses to Meditate on for Peace and Faith

By Apostle Tonya

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that keep His testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart. They also do no iniquity: they walk in His ways. Thou has commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. Psalm 119:1-4

One of the Scriptures that I have applied to my life is written in the Book of Deuteronomy, Chapter 11 verse 18: “Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. Family, we must surround ourselves with the Word of God.

Yesterday, as I sat quietly with thy Lord meditating on one of my favorite chapters, Psalm 145, I suddenly heard the church bells across the road ringing. As the bells continued to ring, I began to share my heart with the Lord Jesus about His Church and He encouraged me.

It is my hope that as you delight in the Lord you will meditate day and night on these blessed scriptures. Psalm 1:2

Isaiah 26:3

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Psalms 23:1-3

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Psalm 130:6

My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Family, I cease not to give thanks for you. Amen.

He is Risen!

By Apostle Tonya

He is not here: for He is risen, as He said.  Come, see the place where the Lord lay.  Matthew 28:6

I most cherish the rich memories I have as a young girl on Easter Sunday.  The family traditions that were passed on to me by my beloved great-grandmother, grandmother and mother were richly woven together in love and remain etched on my heart.

How precious were the days when our family gathered together to celebrate the Risen Lord’s glorious Resurrection: wearing Easter hats and carrying colorful baskets!  I cherish the memories of the mornings spent with my extended family and neighborhood friends before we went to Sunday School.  Our church home held decades of our family’s worship unto thy Lord Jesus; the church with the small steeple in Brooklyn.

The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.  John 20:1

Ofttimes, when I read the Book of John, Chapter 20 and the story of Mary Magdalene, I meditate on the love thy Lord servants had for Him.  What were Mary thoughts as she traveled to visit the tomb of where Jesus Christ of Nazareth had lain?  Her loyalty for our Lord would not end at His death on the Cross.  When Mary discovered that our Beloved Lord Jesus was no longer in the tomb she wanted to find Him.  But, Jesus was alive and suddenly appeared right before her.  He had Risen!

As we prepare to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior, I pray you will be encouraged in this season of Resurrection Power.  Our Father who gave us breath and causes the clouds to pour out rain upon the Earth when it is full; will perfect what concerns us.  The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will answereth our prayers concerning this current Coronavirus crisis.
