Rosh Hashanah: Fasting and Prayer

Righteous Father, we giveth Thee the laud, honor, and glory for the Son of the Highest, and the Spirit of God.

This Friday, in the eventide, as we entereth into a most holy season on Thine Calendar, we giveth Thee thanks for granting us the honor to worship Thee and observeth it during our time of fasting and prayer.

Holy God, as we dwelleth with Thee, we bless Thee even now for a delightful time under Thine Shadow, as the Comforter enableth us to be disciplined and focused in prayer.

Father, we remaineth thankful and in awe at Thine integrity and faithfulness toward us. And how we are encouraged in Thy word that Thou promise to giveth us meat in due season! Surely, Thou keepest Thine word, and we are most honored to wait upon Thee for it during this holy season, most Holy God.

And so, Father, in the most holy Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we thank Thee for inclining Thine Holy Ears to our prayers during this holy season. Amen.
