I might say, that is in speaking of Christ and the miracle of the blind man; it appeareth the parents of the blind man were most affrighted of the Jewish leaders. St. John 9
Peradventure, it was that the theologians during this ancient time of Rabboni’s earthly Ministry principally vowed to spread their rejection of Christ as the Son of God.
Chiefly, these leaders were most audacious with their threats toward those whose hearts were turning toward belief in Christ. In their opposition to our Lord’s Ministry, they fundamentally concluded that any persons who confessed Jesus was the Son of God were to be put out of the synagogue.
And so, how might we be encouraged as believers of Christ not to be intimidated by the adversary who may seeketh to silence us as we witness that Jesus Christ is Lord?
