By Apostle Tonya

As Christ, astonishingly walked the courageous steps to His crucifixion, our suffering Lord turned and looked upon the countenance of His Disciple, Peter. Luke 22:61.
The devoted Apostle who once walked upon the seas for Christ; and cut off the ear of Malchus as Christ was arrested; had tragically denied Christ. In Simon Peter’s denial of the Christ; he even forsook the blessedness of the fellowship of Christ’ sufferings.
And so, I might suppose in that defining moment of Peter’s ministry, when Christ, blessed eyes of grace pierced through the heart of the suddenly fearful disciple, he wept bitterly in repentance.
So then, might we wonder how may it hath been that Peter received the words of Christ, trained and even dined with Him; but in the end would fail to be loyal to the Dearest Master unto the steps of the Cross?
