The Breach from the Garden

by Apostle Tonya

“Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.”  Matthew 26:36

As intercessors, oftentimes, we will go through seasons of plots by the enemy to attack our authority and kingship.  The destroyer knows the hearts he has chosen to enter into to carry out his plot:  to destroy intercession!  Just as it is written, the enemy used our Lord Jesus’ disciple-turned betrayer, Judas Iscariot to carry out his wicked scheme.  Make no mistake about it, the enemy will use those who are trusted and familiar with our garden to also carry-out his assignments.

John 18:1-2:

When Jesus had spoken these words, He went forth with His disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which He entered, and His disciples.  And Judas also, which betrayed Him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with His disciples.

Be not dismayed during attacks that attempt to come against your prayer life. Remember, Nehemiah.  Giveth no ear to the enemy lies or attend to his distractions. Keep your eyes fixed upon our Beloved Lord Jesus and continue by faith with Him and build the walls for the Kingdom!

May thy Lord Jesus grace you to stand against the adversary!

Keep His Secrets

by Apostle Tonya

As servants, we are to steward with love and faithfulness our prayer assignments.  As the Lord’s warriors, we are graced with His power, strength and love to intercede. When the Lord giveth us such honor to intercede we are expected by Heaven to carry out each assignment with integrity, honor and discretion.  We are summoned to stay on the wall with the assignment as long as Holy Spirit gives us His burden.  “A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.”  Psalm 112:5

The secrets Holy Spirit reveal to us during our intercession are never to leave The Throne Room!  We are to steward over every Word with purity and holiness.  When we share those precious Words with anyone we will grieve Holy Spirit and risk the assignment being aborted by us and cause the enemy to gain on his terrain.

“But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit:  for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”  1 Corinthians 2:10

If we betray the Lord’s trust, we open the door for the enemy to attack the church/ministry, person, as well as ourselves.  Our lips should not be the breach in the realm of the spirit! “A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.” Proverbs 11:13, Proverbs 15:4.

Let us not allow the enemy to ever use us to hinder the Lord’s Will in another because of our lack of prayer.  Remember the words of our Beloved, Lord Jesus in Matthew 26:40.

Warriors, may the Holy Spirit increase in you as you pray His burden into manifestation!

Exercising Dominion in Intercession

By Apostle Tonya

The enemy is always seeking to take us out of the posture of submission and reverence unto the Lord God Almighty as we seek the Lord in prayer.  John 18:1-2.

First Peter, chapter five, verse eight declares:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

As citizens of the Kingdom of God, we must walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.  We must embrace our identity as a spiritual king in the Kingdom of God given the authority and dominion by the Lord Jesus to reign and build His Kingdom in this Earth realm.  Ephesians 2:19, 21-22.

Intercessors, before entering your sphere of influence in the spiritual realm be sure to take authority over the enemy.  Bind the enemy from hindering and locating you in the realm of the spirit.  Loose the precious Blood of Jesus to build your hedge of protection.  Matthew 18:18, Job 1:10.  Never enter into war without the Blood covering, hiding and protecting you!

Warriors, I pray Jehovah Gibbor, the Man of War, strengthen you as you carry out your earthly assignments seated in Heavenly Places! Exodus 15:3.

Back in 2010, the Lord blessed me with an opportunity to serve Him as Editor-in-Chief of “Having Church for Women” magazine.  The print publication was the vision of publisher, Lue Ward.  Upon hearing his heart for the Lord’s Daughters in the magazine; I knew it was an assignment for me from the Lord.

At the time, while in prayer I declared that the seed I was sowing working for the magazine would reap specific miracles in my family.  I cease not to bring the Lord in remembrance of my seed at the magazine.  I was filled with confidence given to me by the Holy Spirit that thy Lord would answer my petitions.  Family, the Lord is faithful!

As written in 1 John 5:14-15:
And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:  And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, I pray the Lord will visit you with the miracles you have petitioned from Him.

Happy Thanksgiving!

His Word shall never fail!

When I was a young woman in my 20’s, at the end of every year, I would make a short list of what I would resolve to do or accomplish in the new year.  They were resolutions that I took much care and diligence to ensure they were all fulfilled. By the time we were in the season of spring, most of my resolutions had become a distant memory.  As my walk with the Lord God became more intimate I began to seek His will for my life and no longer took to writing the end-of-the-year resolutions.  It was the Holy Spirit that lovingly graced me to stand-fast in His Will and continue to keep me focused.

Quite a few things that I desired I learned were placed within my innermost being by our Heavenly Father before He placed me in my mother’s womb.  My fervent praying, hoping, believing, fighting and loving was the Lord pushing and pursuing me.

I want to encourage you today to never cease to pursue God’s Will for your life. What the Lord God whispered to you may appear unrealistic or unattainable to another but please do not allow that to deter you: it doesn’t matter what anyone else may feel about your dream.  Be steadfast, prayerful and stand on the blessed authority of God’s Word. You were sent into the Earth realm with purpose and a call.  Whatever you do, never abandon it.  Remember Jonah.  (Jonah, Chapter 1.)

I encourage you to be careful who you share your dreams with; not everyone will celebrate with you about the Will, plans and purposes of what Jesus has ordained for you.  If you remember, Joseph shared his dreams with his brothers and their jealous hearts provoked them into creating a wicked plot to kill him, cast him into a pit and thereafter sell their own brother into slavery.  (Genesis 37:5, 24 and 27.) Trust God with all thy heart and lean not on your own understanding as Your Father strategically bring His Word to pass in your life.  His Word shall never fail!

Yielding to the Lord’s Editing Season

There are seasons in our lives where the Lord walks us through as He prepares us to serve Him. Seasons of mourning, losses, isolation, suffering, persecution, pruning and testing.

Last year, I walked in a season where the Lord God allowed many to turn away from me; so I could separate myself and focus on Him to prepare for my new ministry. I must say it was the most painful, loneliest season of my life. For one, since I was a little girl; I have always had many people around me having numerous best friends and always well-known where I lived. To live in the opposite spectrum of that marked lifestyle where I had always been a magnet for friendships was quite difficult for me.

The Holy Spirit became my dearest and closest Friend. In His lovingkindness, during this isolation and consecration season, He created in me a more loving heart. I began to see how I had been far away from loving others purely. By God’s grace, I gained a new heart: loving, merciful and compassionate.

I pray you will ask the Lord to prune you and yield to the Lord’s editing season. Our Lord knows what is good for us and what will bear forth much fruit.

Be encouraged if you are in a season where the Lord is testing you. I encourage you to walk in the love of our Beloved Jesus Christ, forgive quickly, don’t be overcome by evil; but overcome evil with good. He will strengthen you.
