And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. St. John 6:10
I might say, it well so agreed with the Godhead, our Lord, who was declared to be the Son of God, with power and authority principally planned that most of His Ministry would occur around the shores of the Sea of Galilee.
Ofttimes, as we read the Gospels of God, as recorded in St. John 6, of the Bread of Life’s most intimate teachings that even of Christ sitting upon the mountains and our Lord discerning the multitude were most famished.
And Jesus took the loaves; and when He had given thanks, He distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. St. John 6:11
In the sacred pages of this Chapter, the beloved Disciple John fundamentally records Christ’s concern for His followers who spiritually hungered. In this, Christ provided the nourishment for their souls and further supplied their needs with sustenance.
And so, surely, the Son of God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever remaineth faithful to supplieth our needs according to His riches in glory!
