The Healer

By Apostle Tonya

Surely, there shall becometh seasons when a loved one may endureth a time of suffering in sickness.  Ofttimes in our loved one’s valley of affliction season, we might feel most helpless as they endureth afflictions.  Might I say, perhaps it may be well in those times if we turn to the Gospels of God and read about our Holy Christ.

Chiefly, in attending to a loved one in their health challenges, it may be well to do so with remembrance of our most merciful and compassionate Healer.  In the eternal power of the Scriptures, there shall becometh an increase of strength, faith, and belief that our Father is a very present help in times of trouble.

May it be well now to encourageth you today, remembering the stunning appearance of Christ at the pool of Bethesda? Principally in this appearance of our Lord wherefore is recorded in St. John, Chapter 5, we behold the Son of Man’s discourse with a lame man who had suffered in this affliction for 38 years!

Wilt thou be made whole?  St. John 5:6

The sacred Scriptures record the man, unable to walk, achingly watched the pool of healing waters heal others as they stepped in it first. Yet, without immersion into the healing waters, it could not heal him. Astonishingly, the paralyzed man had no person who held compassion in his heart to help the lame man into the healing waters of mercy.

But our most merciful Christ’s compassionate Heart was with him. For the Scriptures record our Healer visited the lame man even at his public bedside near the pool and healed him!

And so, may this miracle encourageth us to serve those who may be afflicted with sickness with an unfeigned heart. And remembereth in our own valley seasons, wherefore we may partake in for the Master’s glory, His mercy promises to visit us. Amen.
