Midnight Praise and Power

By Apostle Tonya

At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments. Psalm 119:62

One of the most well-quoted Scriptures in the Holy Bible on the power of praise unto the Lord Jesus is written in the Book of Acts, Chapter 16, verses 25 and 26:

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God:  and the prisoners heard them.  And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken:  and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

This Scripture most powerfully records at midnight when Paul and Silas praised thy Lord their praise released Angels to come for their words. The weapon of praise of these two men greatly shook the Earth, bound the enemy, open doors and set them free.

Midnight which begins the third watch of prayer is an hour of deliverance. Chetsiy, the Hebrew word for midnight is defined in the Strong’s Concordance as midst, middle and midnight.  The Lion of Judah, our Deliverer strategically appointed the midnight hour to set the captives free.  This set time when we arise to give the Holy One of Israel thanks will annihilate the enemy’s works against us.

As Children who giveth praise, glory and honor with our righteous lips to Jehovah Gibbor, the Man of War, we simultaneously destroy demonic assignments sent against us to place us in bondage.  The righteous is bold as a lion and we must walk in authority and dominion and release the high praises of the Lord when we are in spiritual war.

The Lord God who causes wars to cease taketh pleasure in our praises unto Him and will declare our warfare is over.  Amen.

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; to execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 149:6-9
